She got in a car accident about a week after that. We both ended up resigning from the church we had met at, got married at, helped plant and worked at. This year has been a very difficult year for me and my wife. Please tell me the personal story behind this song. I had the chance to speak with Chad Gardner about their catchy and convicting song, "I Know." A sincere desire for the presence of God and to see His Kingdom on earth is found in every song as lead singer Chad Gardner sings the eternity-minded lyrics with an engaging and worshipful alt-rock style. What's especially cool is how this album stays true to that biblical description. This "gourmet" album is a great call to worship and is a fresh offering of praise for the Church to sing out with passion about the truth of the Word of God from Matthew 6:33 (NKJV): "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." In you we find our true happy place.Becoming Who You Are by Seattle-based Kings Kaleidoscope was one of my Top 10 Worship Albums of 2014. Thank you Father God,Jesus and Holy Spirit. His Holy Spirit guides us until we’re home Your kindness poured out from your reserve God has place Eternity in our hearts (God given poem September 21,2017) We were made for another world and God has placed eternity in our hearts so we might long for it so deeply that we cannot rest until we find rest in Him. Lewis in Mere Christianity writes, “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.” In the gospel of John we read the words of Jesus: “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.” The words “innermost being” in the Greek text is “koilos, meaning hole or empty place.” There is the description of a spiritual empty place in the heart of man that hungers and thirst after that living water that only Jesus can give. Solomon a man who had riches, women, power everything a human might desire but he still wrote that it was “vanity and striving after the wind and there was no profit under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 2:11 NASB The rest of Pascal’s quote is: “This he tries in vain to fill with everything around him, seeking in things that are not there the help he cannot find in those that are, though none can help, since this infinite abyss can be filled only with an infinite and immutable object in other words by God himself.” Thus it left the empty print and trace of happiness. Until that pesky serpent caused them to doubt and sin was born in the heart of man. Their time in the garden was innocent and a satisfying in the purest way of life. The famous French Mathematician and Philosopher Blaise Pascal’s wrote: “What else does this craving, and this helplessness, proclaim but that there was once in man a true happiness, of which all that now remains is the empty print and trace?”Īdam and Eve walking with God in the cool of the evening portrays what man’s true happiness would be like. We can cross that bridge by trusting in Jesus as our only way to the Father and eternal life. Jesus provided the sacrifice required to bridge the separation. Sin created separation between God and man. What is the good news? It is that we were created to live forever with our creator God. Through God the Holy Spirit we are given gifts and abilities to use to proclaim the good news. What we do with our lives makes a statement to the world of who we are and what we value. Augustine of Hippo who was one of the early Christian theologians and philosophers who is viewed as one of the most important Church Fathers in Western Christianity said, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.” From the beginning to the end, he has devoted himself to his creation made with the stamp of His image. He provided for us a way to be redeem from our sinful state. He desires to be in relationship with his creation. The scope of God’s work from beginning to end is to have a people with whom he can dwell. But that we have not understood the scope of God’s work from the beginning to end. Solomon says that man’s work is a gift to be enjoyed. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. The New Living Translation 11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 NASB “He has made everything appropriate in its time.
